Back on January 26, 1997, the Green Bay Packers played the New England Patriots. They played in New Orleans, Louisiana. The winning score was 35-21. This victory gave the Packers their first Super Bowl championship in almost three decades. The M.V.P of the game was Desmond Howard. Here some of the games highlights. Brett Farve helped the packers to score on a 54 yard strike to Andre Rison which gave them a 7-0 lead. Then in interception by Drew
Bledsoe which lead to a field goal putting the Packers at a 10-0 lead in over 6 minutes. The Patriots had scored 2 straight touchdowns on their next possessions. To put the Patriots at a 14-10 lead. 56 seconds into the 2nd quarter threw a 81 yard pass to Antonio Freeman and also Chris Jacke. The Packers had then toke the lead 20-14. Brett Favre also scored a touchdown of his own to put the score at 27-14. Then the Patriots scored there last touchdown of the game but Desmond Howard crushed any hope for another one. Desmond Howard came back with a 99 kick off return putting the final score at 35-21.

The world cup is the most televised event in the world! It is full of excitement, disappointment, wild crowds, and of course, soccer! Every four years the best soccer teams in the world come together in one location and compete for the world cup. In order to qualify for the World Cup you have to compete in qualifying matches or play-offs. The play-offs are setup in six different FIFA continental zones Asia, Africa, North and Central America, South America, Oceania, and Europe. They are judged by respective confederations that pick the teams that go on to the world cup.
